5 Wheel Footwork training (Wu Lun Ma) was created by Chen Xiang, combining the footwork in the North & the South for beginners. The meaning of 5 Wheels is: 1st, 5 rounds in the whole set; 2nd, wheel = round, there are 5 rounds inside the routine, arms are round when putting on the waist, line of the body is round when turning around, the swinging up & down of the arms are round, the hooking of the legs are round, & the change of the footwork is round, so it was called 5 Wheels Footwork.
5 Wheel Hammer (Wu Lun Chui) techniques was founded by Chen Xiang, the founder of Choy Lee Fut kungfu. He combined the footwork in the North & the South for beginners. Same as 5 Wheel Footwork, it is one of the fundamental & required skills of Choy Lee Fut.
