It differs from the other Wushu branches of Wudang School for its art-stressing ideology and direct-striking style. The practical fighting arts of Wudang School is composed by master Liu Huangjun, on tthe base of Taiji Duanhuang Zhang, combined with arts of Xingyi and Bagua. It is an outstanding set featuring mutual benefits of the practitioners and health enhancing in practice and excellent techniques of opponent control by cutting off both his ways of advance and retreat to obtain a favorable position. |

| Widely spread, the Nature Wushu of Zhang Sanfeng (the founder of Wudang School) is said to be passed down in a direct line from Master Zhang Sanfeng. It differs from the other Wushu branches of Wudang School for its art-stressing ideology and direct-striking style. Taiji Duanhuang Shang utilizes the practitioner's own circulation of the moves to destory that of the opponent, moving along with his force and breaking his arms. This set of Wushu requires felixble footwork and contains Sanshou (free fight) arts, like push, touch, cut off and hit, which keeps the movements in a constant change and enables the practitioners to be unbeatable. As the song goes, "Duanhuang Zhang sweeps across north and south, flaunting its superiority among the Wushu world. With grasp of the moves, you are eased both in attack and defense." |
