About the form: Taiji Plum Blossom Praying Mantis Fist also called Taiji Praying Mantis Fist. It is an imitation fist. It has the characteristics of long fist, containing both long distance & close range defending & offensive skills. Its major hand skills are Za (pound), Tan (jump), Pi (cut), Tiao (raise thing), Beng (bounce), Gou (hook); major footwok are Hua (slide) Gen (follow), Tuo (haul), & Ta (step on). Movements are hard but not stiff; soft but not weak. Agile & Fast.
